ITV offers financial and technology services in the imaging industry.  We are primarily focussed on imaging and security imaging.  Both of these applications of imaging are synergistic since they primarily involve detection and characterization of hidden objects deep inside a body. 

We are particularly interested in emerging technologies that can have a high impact and represent opportunities for huge growth.  As such we are experienced at working with development stage companies and can offer assistance in technology evaluation and development, business plan development, capital acquisition planning, recruitment of talented contributors, corporate partnering, and finally IPO or acquisition.

In the field of healthcare imaging, there are huge opportunities, especially in the field of breast cancer and prostate cancer.  We have been fortunate in participating in earlier developments, including preventative imaging, that have led to major advances in early detection of heart disease, lung cancer, and colon cancer.  These three killers for 60% of morbidity in the U.S.  Therefore the current challenge is breast and prostate, representing an additional 10-15% of the death rate.

In the security industry, Airport Screening is by far the most important current problem.  The potential of airline-based terrorism to disrupt the travel industry, and indeed the entire economy of the U.S. is a major concern, and is only partially addressed at present.  Although we have participated in the advances in explosive detection for checked baggage in the past, there are remaining holes in carry-on security and cargo.
